Marketing Compliance
Consent, lists and disclosure — the rules that sit underneath every call, text and mailer a dealership sends.
Compliance is the part of dealership marketing that costs nothing until it costs a great deal. A BDC that texts a customer who never opted in, a mailer that uses credit data without making the firm-offer language work, an advertised payment whose conditions live in four-point type — none of these hurt the month they happen. They surface later, as a letter, and by then the practice is habitual and the records are gone.
We are a vendor that dials and mails on behalf of dealers, so this is not an abstract topic for us. What is collected here is operational: how consent is captured and recorded, how a list is sourced and refreshed, what a credit-based or bankruptcy-targeted offer has to carry, and where the line sits between urgency and pressure on a phone call. As with the metrics library, several of these articles are parented in the hub for their channel and appear here as pointers.
Two things this page is not. It is not legal advice — the rules turn on facts we cannot see from here, and anything with real money on it belongs in front of your own counsel. And it is not complete: the FTC Safeguards Rule, the CARS Rule and state-level advertising requirements are absent from this site today and are the top of the writing queue. The one piece that covers consent directly is TCPA and dealer outreach compliance.
