Inventory Marketing and Acquisition
Campaigns that source cars as well as sell them, and what to do about the units that have stopped moving.
Most dealership marketing is written as though the inventory is a fixed backdrop and the only variable is demand. For used vehicles that has not been true for years. The campaign that brings in a trade is doing acquisition and demand generation in the same drop, and a store that treats buy-back mail as a sales promotion rather than a sourcing tool measures it against the wrong number and usually concludes it did not work.
What is here today is the acquisition half, because that is the half that runs on mail and data: buy-back campaigns, equity mining, lease pull-ahead, database mining, and using a drop to move units that have aged past the point where anyone on the floor volunteers to show them. Those articles are parented in the direct mail library and appear here as pointers, which is marked in the listing.
The other half — merchandising, vehicle detail pages, photography and video, pricing to market, days-supply discipline — is genuinely absent from this site, and it is the largest single content gap we found when we mapped the subject in September 2026. It is queued. We do not sell merchandising or pricing tools, so when it is written it will be written as comparison and context rather than as a pitch. For what we do run, see direct mail services and what a campaign costs.
