Disclosure: Pinnacle Sales and Mail publishes this site and ranks itself first on this list. Every other company here was chosen and checked by us from its own published information in September 2026; none of them paid to be included.
The best automotive direct mail companies in 2026 are Pinnacle Sales and Mail (our own pick, disclosed above), Strong Automotive, Willowood Ventures, Epsilon Individual Automotive, Momentum, Mailings Unlimited, Fenske Media, mailing.com and Market Doctors. The right choice depends on whether you want mail alone, mail plus phone follow-up, or a full-service agency.
How We Chose
We are a dealership marketing company that designs, prints and mails dealer campaigns, and we are on this list, so read the order with that in mind. For everyone else, we only included companies that met four tests when we checked their websites in September 2026:
- They publish a direct mail offer aimed specifically at car dealerships, not just a general print menu.
- They handle more than printing: data or list work, design, and mailing.
- They describe dealer-specific formats such as buyback, equity, lease-end, service or co-op mail.
- The site was live and current (we dropped one firm whose automotive mail page had not been updated since 2022).
After our own entry, the order reflects how well each company fits a typical franchise or independent store that wants mail as a core channel. It is not a quality score, and we did not test any competitor's campaigns. Everything we say about them comes from what they publish about themselves.

1. Pinnacle Sales and Mail
Pinnacle Sales and Mail is a car dealership marketing company based in Cornelius, North Carolina, with over 25 years in business. Owners Joe and Julie Cox have been in staffed events and direct mail for over 20 years and say they have played a role in developing over 5,000 direct mail campaigns, staffed and non-staffed. Pinnacle says it has delivered more than 500 million pieces of direct mail.
Best for: Dealers who want mail designed around a sale date and a plan for the calls it generates, from large dealer groups to smaller independent stores, from California to the Carolinas.
What they offer: Design, print and mail through its automotive direct mail services, with wholesale pricing on direct mail and co-op approved mailers for franchise stores that follow manufacturer guidelines. Mail can be paired with a staffed sales event (the Gross Infusion Event), a hosted event or an off-site sale, and with BDC On Demand, Pinnacle's outsourced call center built only for dealerships, which can handle event-specific calls with recordings and reporting.
Worth knowing: Pinnacle does not sell dealership websites, SEO or paid search and social ad management as core services, so stores that want one vendor for mail and digital ads will need a separate digital partner. Pricing is covered on the direct mail pricing page; the exact quote depends on piece, quantity and data.
2. Strong Automotive
Strong Automotive describes itself as a full-service marketing and advertising agency focused exclusively on the automotive industry, located in Birmingham, Alabama, with over 45 years of experience, a team of over 150 employees and more than 400 dealerships served nationwide. It says it is led by John Paul Strong and remains a family company.
Best for: Stores that want mail, TV, digital and co-op handled by one agency with a shared monthly creative strategy.
What they offer: Strong says it delivers more than 6 million pieces of mail annually, offers data mining and custom creative with in-house printing, and that standard mail pieces can be in homes within one week of a client request. It says it wholly owns Strong Direct, an equity mining software tool its dealers can use at no additional cost, and runs a co-op team that files manufacturer co-op paperwork.
Worth knowing: Mail is one part of a broad agency relationship. If you only want a mail vendor and already have an agency for everything else, ask how Strong prices mail on its own.

3. Willowood Ventures
Willowood Ventures lists an office in Apex, North Carolina, and says it has over 20 years of experience in direct mail advertising for dealerships and is trusted by 600+ dealer partners.
Best for: Dealers who want a long menu of mail formats and a phone team working the responses.
What they offer: Its automotive mail page lists vehicle buyback mailers with Black Book values, lease-end notification letters, service reminder postcards, tri-fold self-mailers, checkbook vouchers, key tag service reminders and interactive scratch-off promotions and more. It advertises targeting by credit criteria, auto loan status, payment and household income, and also sells a US-based bilingual BDC, email and staffed sales events.
Worth knowing: Its homepage currently leads with Facebook Sales Events, so confirm which team will run your mail program and what response reporting you get.

4. Epsilon Individual Automotive
Epsilon Individual Automotive (its footer reads Epsilon Custom Automotive) produces direct mail campaigns for dealerships and automotive businesses and says it partners with Epsilon for data.
Best for: Dealers who want design, printing and lists from one production-focused vendor, with QR codes, personalized URLs and email added on.
What they offer: The company says it designs mailers, prints them in its own in-house production studio, supplies targeted mailing lists, and pairs mail with interactive programs such as personalized URLs, email marketing and targeted display ads. It says finished designs have a turnaround time of only a few days.
Worth knowing: Its site does not list a headquarters address or describe event or phone follow-up, so plan how responses will be handled in-store.

5. Momentum
Momentum (Momentum Digital + Direct Marketing, with a mailing address in Oldsmar, Florida) sells direct mail alongside a live BDC, digital marketing and sales and service training for dealerships.
Best for: Stores that want handwritten-style mail or a book-value buyback event.
What they offer: Momentum lists envelope mail in several sizes, window or standard; postcards up to 11 by 14 inches; saturation mailers; and what it calls its signature Genuine Handwritten Mail program. It advertises Black Book or Kelley Blue Book buyback events with real values on the customer's vehicle, and targeting by year, make and model, loan payoff, credit, age, location, purchase year and service history.
Worth knowing: The site publishes different experience figures on different pages, so ask directly who will manage your account and how long that team has run dealer mail.

6. Mailings Unlimited
Mailings Unlimited is a print and mail company in Portland, Maine, that serves several industries and publishes a dedicated automotive program.
Best for: Dealers who want automated lifecycle mail: lease-end, equity and service reminders that drop on a schedule.
What they offer: It describes trigger mail at 6, 4 and 2 months before a lease or finance contract ends, positive-equity targeting with personalized buy-back offers printed with variable data (VIN, year, make and model), 6 by 11 inch jumbo postcards for new model and event announcements, service bi-fold self-mailers with tear-off coupons, and QR codes and personalized URLs on every piece.
Worth knowing: It is a mail specialist, not a dealership events or phone company, so the showroom and BDC side of the campaign stays with you.

7. Fenske Media
Fenske Media lists its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, says it has over 40 years in business, and publishes an automotive page built around data-driven mail.
Best for: Dealer groups that want conquest and lease-expiration targeting built on vehicle ownership data.
What they offer: Fenske says it uses vehicle ownership data, including make, model, year and lease or loan expiration, for targeted outreach, and runs conquest campaigns aimed at competitor customers. It offers variable data printing, data and list insights, and interactive video experiences.
Worth knowing: Its automotive page speaks mainly to groups and larger campaigns; a single-point store should ask about minimum quantities.

8. mailing.com
mailing.com is a print and mail production company headquartered in Sacramento, California, with regional locations including Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Coppell (Texas) and Tampa. Its automotive page is written for OEMs, dealer groups and aftermarket teams.
Best for: Dealer groups, agencies and marketing departments that already have creative and data and need reliable production at volume.
What they offer: It says it handles data intake, list creation, design and layout, variable data printing, in-house envelope conversion, USPS verification and mailing under one roof, with dealer co-op formats and OEM brand standards built into the workflow. It names service reminders, recall notices, lease maturity offers and trade-in pitches as automotive programs.
Worth knowing: mailing.com is a production partner. It does not describe building dealership offers, running events or answering the phones, so it suits stores with that expertise in-house.
Website: mailing.com
9. Market Doctors
Market Doctors, in Dickinson, Texas, describes itself as a full-service marketing agency for the automotive industry with over 20 years of work with dealerships.
Best for: Dealers who mainly want digital marketing and want mail from the same agency.
What they offer: Its direct mail page describes customized campaigns aimed at customer retention, recapturing lost customers and brand awareness. The agency also sells SEO, PPC, social media, call center services and client profiling, and says its in-house co-op team is included with its dealership marketing solutions.
Worth knowing: The direct mail page does not detail formats or targeting data, so ask for sample pieces and the list sources before you commit.

How to Choose an Automotive Direct Mail Company
Start with the job: a weekend sale, a trade acquisition push and a service retention program need different vendors. If the mail is announcing a sale, look at firms that can also staff or support it; our list of the best automotive sales event companies covers that side. If the mail will drive calls you cannot answer, look at the best outsourced BDC companies before the drop, not after.
Questions to ask every vendor
- Where does the list come from, and how fresh is it? Ask whether it is your DMS and CRM data, purchased ownership data, or both, and who keeps it afterward.
- What is the in-home date? Not the print date or the drop date. Mail that lands after the sale starts is wasted.
- How is postage billed? Ask whether it is passed through at cost, and what happens if USPS changes prices during your agreement.
- How will you prove results? Ask for tracked phone numbers, unique codes or URLs, and a matchback of sold units to the mailed list. Our guide to tracking direct mail ROI explains what a clean matchback looks like.
- Is the piece co-op eligible? Franchise stores should ask the vendor to confirm the piece follows manufacturer guidelines before print.
- Who reviews prize, scratch-off and voucher pieces? These formats carry federal and state rules. The vendor should have a review step, and your own counsel should sign off.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does automotive direct mail cost?
It depends on the piece size, the quantity, the data you buy and postage. Ask every vendor for an itemized quote that separates data, print, postage and any follow-up services so you can compare like with like.
What is the difference between an automotive mail company and a print-and-mail house?
A dealer-focused mail company helps pick the audience, writes the offer and often supports the event or calls that follow. A print-and-mail house produces and mails what you give it, usually at volume. Groups with strong in-house marketing teams often do well with the second; single stores usually get more from the first.
Can co-op funds pay for dealership direct mail?
Often, for franchise stores, but it depends on your manufacturer's program and whether the piece meets its guidelines. Ask the vendor to confirm co-op eligibility before printing, keep the proof and invoices, and check your program's claim deadlines. Independent stores generally do not have manufacturer co-op to draw on.
How far ahead should I book a mail drop?
Book it early enough to approve the proof and still hit the in-home date you need. Published turnaround varies: Strong Automotive says standard pieces can be in homes within one week of a request, and Epsilon Individual Automotive says a few days after design approval. Confirm the in-home window in writing for your own campaign.
Should direct mail be paired with a sales event or a BDC?
Usually, yes. Mail creates calls and visits in a short window, and the value is lost if nobody answers the phone or the floor is short-staffed that weekend. Plan staffing and call handling at the same time you plan the drop, whether that is your own team or an outside partner.
Summary
Every company on this list sells dealership direct mail today, but they solve different problems. Strong Automotive and Market Doctors fold mail into a wider agency. Mailings Unlimited, Fenske Media and mailing.com are strongest on data and production. Willowood Ventures and Momentum add phone teams and event-style campaigns. Pinnacle Sales and Mail, our own company, builds mail around sales events and call handling. If you want to talk through a campaign, get in touch with our team.
